History Warns: Those Who Curse Israel, Will Fall

It’s not a theory. It’s not superstition. It’s history. Solid, unshakable, undeniable history. Look back far enough and you’ll see it: every empire, dictator, monarch, parliament, and president that lifted their hand against Israel eventually found themselves broken, scattered, humiliated, or irrelevant. Israel remains.
Why? Because there’s a promise carved into the foundation of this world that God does not break: “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.” (Genesis 12:3)
Yet somehow, the world still doesn’t get it.

Take a look at the headlines this week. Irish President Michael D. Higgins is out here trying to rally the UN to send armed forces into Israel’s affairs. Yes, you heard that right. A country that’s been neutral in every global conflict since World War II now wants to get involved militarily… against Israel. The same Ireland that led the charge to recognize a so-called Palestinian state right after Jews were burned, raped, and murdered in their homes on October 7, 2023.
Meanwhile, in the Netherlands, half the government just collapsed because they couldn’t agree on how hard to hit Israel with sanctions. Their Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp tried to push through penalties against Israeli goods, failed, and quit on the spot. Several others followed him out the door. That’s not diplomacy. That’s divine smackdown.
This is about blessing or cursing Israel. And God’s Word isn’t vague on what happens when you make the wrong choice.
The Ancient Curse That Still Crushes Empires
Let’s take a step back. Egypt enslaved the Jews. Ten plagues later, Pharaoh’s entire army was at the bottom of the Red Sea.
Babylon destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple. Today? Babylon is dust under the modern-day Iraqi desert.
Rome crucified Jews, destroyed the Second Temple, banned Hebrew, and scattered our people. The Roman Empire no longer exists, unless you count the ruins that tourists take selfies with.
Spain expelled its Jews in 1492. That was the same year it sent Columbus to discover the New World. Guess what? Within 100 years, the Spanish Empire was dying, its gold drained, its ships sunk.

Nazi Germany tried to annihilate the Jews. Hitler promised a thousand-year Reich. It lasted 12 years. Berlin was nearly reduced to rubble. The ashes of Auschwitz didn’t just choke Europe; they condemned it.
And yet, here we are. The Jews. Still standing. Still singing. Still speaking Hebrew, the language God gave us on Mount Sinai. Every time a nation raises its voice against us, the result is predictable. Because when they curse Israel, they don’t just poke a hornet’s nest - they pick a fight with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
The Double Standard Is Exhausting
You’d think the message would be loud and clear by now. But the arrogance of modern governments is blinding.
Today’s UN is obsessed with Israel. They ignore Syria’s attacks on Druze and Christian minorities, Iran’s child marriages, and China’s Muslim concentration camps. But a Jewish farmer builds a house in Judea, and suddenly the entire General Assembly shows up with moral outrage.
The Irish President complains about “illegality” in the Israeli government, while Hamas still hides in hospitals and uses Palestinians as shields. Spare us the lectures. The real lawbreaker isn’t in Jerusalem - it’s the one digging terror tunnels under UN schools.
And the Dutch government? They had the nerve to bar entry to two Israeli ministers for “inciting violence” after years of tolerating radical Islamists on their own soil. Netherlands, clean up your own mess before pretending to be the moral compass of the world.

God’s Promise Isn’t a Suggestion
God is not mocked.
You don’t get to curse His people, call it “justice,” and expect your economy, your culture, or your government to survive. You don’t get to block Israeli goods and think your ports won’t rot. You don’t get to shame Israel’s people and walk away untouched. It may not happen tomorrow. But it will happen. Because it always does.
God doesn’t take kindly to nations bullying the apple of His eye.
“For thus said the Lord of Hosts: ‘He who harms you, touches the apple of My eye.’” (Zechariah 2:8)
There’s no wiggle room here. There’s no neutrality. You’re either with Israel or against the One who defends it.

But here’s the good news.
History also shows that those who stand with Israel are blessed beyond measure.
America rose to greatness when it became a safe haven for Jews. Britain prospered during the time of the Balfour Declaration, when it supported Jewish return to their homeland. Uganda, of all places, has seen a rise in Christian support for Israel, and their economy and revival are on the rise.
And you? You don’t need a title or government position to be counted among the blessed.
If you stand with Israel, not just when it’s popular, but especially when it’s not, you align yourself with something ancient, holy, and powerful.
You join Abraham.
You stand with the Prophets.
You honor the God who never forgets His promises.
In a world that’s rushing to condemn, your loyalty will shine like fire in the darkness.
Those who curse Israel, fall. Always have. Always will.
Those who bless Israel, rise. Even when the world mocks. Even when it costs something. Even when the fight feels lonely.
Because in the end, God doesn’t need the UN’s approval. He doesn’t care what Ireland says, or Brussels, or Oslo. He’s got Jerusalem. And that’s more than enough.
