America and Israel: A Relationship Tested by Time

Is America still Israel’s best friend, or just a fair-weather ally? That question used to be unthinkable. Today, it's being asked more and more often. From liberal college campuses chanting “Free Palestine” to conservative influencers questioning support for Israel, the foundation of the U.S.-Israel alliance is being rattled from both sides.

For decades, America and Israel were joined at the hip. Not just because of shared values like democracy and liberty, but because Israel stood as the only stable, trustworthy ally in the most unstable region on earth. But now, we’re watching the pillars of that alliance being hammered by new political influencers, TikTok mobs, and even some so-called “America First” conservatives who sound more like Code Pink and BLM than Ronald Reagan. This moment is dangerous. Not only for Israel, but for America itself.
A History of Fire-Forged Friendship
The U.S. recognized Israel just 11 minutes after it declared independence in 1948. Since then, America and Israel have shared intelligence, conducted joint military exercises, innovated in tech and medicine, and stood together against Islamic terror and radical regimes.
Presidents from both parties, Truman, Kennedy, Reagan, Bush, Trump, understood that Israel wasn’t just a partner. It was a mirror of America’s own founding values: freedom, perseverance, the fight against tyranny.
But now? There is a trend of ignorance on social media when it comes to the alliance between Israel and America, with influeucers like Nick Fuentes or Candace Owens that portray Israel like an enemy of America.

The Left’s Open Hatred
Let’s talk about the progressive wing of the Democratic Party. Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, they don’t just criticize Israeli policy. They vilify Israel’s right to exist. These aren’t debates about borders or ceasefires. These are calls to dismantle the Jewish state entirely. And it’s not just fringe X radicals anymore. A majority of young Democrats now view Palestinians more favorably than Israelis. That’s not a minor stat, that’s a seismic shift. A generation trained to see Israel as the aggressor and Hamas rapists as “freedom fighters.” It’s insanity. It’s the triumph of moral relativism over truth.
Israel didn’t start that war. Hamas did. And they didn’t target soldiers, they targeted babies, grandmothers, partygoers, and peace activists. They filmed their crimes and posted them proudly.
Yet within weeks, something disturbing happened in the United States: the conversation shifted. Suddenly, Israel, the victim, was being accused of “genocide.” The terrorists who raped women and dragged hostages into tunnels were being called “resistance fighters.” College campuses erupted with chants of “intifada.” Social media filled with slogans like “by any means necessary.”
The Right’s New Hypocrisy
Some on the American"Right" are starting to flirt with the same dangerous nonsense. Not because they hate Jews, but because they’ve been seduced by lazy populism and TikTok slogans. They chant “America First” but forget that a weakened Israel means a stronger Iran, a stronger Hezbollah, and more global chaos that means bad news for America too.
Yes, America needs to focus on its border, its economy, and its people. But abandoning allies is not strength. Every world power needs allies. China needs allies, Russia needs allies, and America also needs allies.

Supporting Israel is strategic. Israel fights the same enemies America faces, radical Islamists who hate freedom and want to destroy the West. Israel shares intelligence, technology, counter-terror experience, and keeps pressure off U.S. troops by standing firm in the most hostile neighborhood on earth.
God is Watching
Genesis 12:3 says, “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.” This wasn’t a vague poetic sentiment. This was a promise. Nations that bless Israel are blessed. Those who betray her suffer.
America, you’ve been blessed for decades because you always stood by God's people. Now is not the time to sit quietly. Now is not the time to apologize for loving Israel. You either stand with God’s people or you stand with those who seek their destruction. There is no neutral ground when children are being kidnapped, when Jews are hunted in their own land, and when the world cheers on terror.
This is a test which I believe we will pass and strengthen our alliance even more. It's a test not just of political alliances, but of moral character. Do we still recognize the difference between good and evil? Between a democratic nation defending itself and a death cult like Hamas using children as human shields?
Israel isn’t perfect. No country is. But it’s the one nation in the Middle East where Christians are protected, women can vote, Arabs serve in parliament, and journalists don't disappear when criticizing the government.
I hear this from more and more Americans who say that their country needs to wake up.
They tell me that support for Israel isn’t just about Jews. It’s about choosing civilization over savagery, order over chaos, truth over propaganda. Standing with Israel aligns with America's interests.
The next time you hear someone say “Israel is committing genocide,” ask them to name one genocide where hospitals, food trucks, and aid are still going in. Ask them why Hamas builds tunnels under schools instead of bomb shelters for children. Ask them what they would do if terrorists raped their daughters and burned their neighbors alive.
And then ask them why Israel doesn’t have the right to fight back.
Because if your answer is that Jews must sit and take it, you don’t care about justice, you just hate Jews. The U.S.-Israel relationship has been tested many times. But this might be the biggest test yet. Let me know in the comments what do you think about my opinion.
