They Called Him a Monster. He Just Helped The Jews.

What would you risk for truth?

Your business? Your reputation? Your friends? In the quiet streets of Bergen, Norway, one man answered that question with his life - not by dying, but by living boldly and refusing to back down.

During my speaking tour in Norway, I met Enok Groven, actor, model, and owner of a unique, one-of-a-kind vintage shop. A tall Norwegian with a fashion sense. He showed me his collection of rare, customized vintage clothing. Every item had a story. But it wasn’t the clothes that left the biggest impression, it was his love for Israel.

I asked him, “Aren’t you afraid for your shop or your business?”

He looked me in the eye and said, “No. I don’t care about that. I care about knowing where I stand and doing the right thing, and hoping God will provide.”

A Volunteer in Israel, Hunted at Home

Back in March, after the horrors of October 7, when Israeli families were butchered by Hamas terrorists at the Nova music festival, Enok couldn't stay quiet. He signed up for the Sar-El program and volunteered with the IDF, helping pack rations and sort uniforms. He didn’t carry a gun. He carried compassion. He stood with the Jewish people, not as a soldier, but as a brother during our toughest moment in modern history since the Holocaust.

And for that, they came after him.

Back in Norway, his shop was vandalized. Graffiti screamed “Zionist” and “Child murderer” across the storefront. Vandals tried breaking the windows. Activists threatened to burn the place down. Social media mobs launched boycott campaigns, spammed him with fake reviews, and called for him to be kidnapped. Rumors were spread in an attempt to destroy his image. They called him misogynist. Rapist. Pedophile. Lies, all of it, but in today’s sick digital culture, the lie is faster than the truth, because it carries no weight, it's empty.

The New Antisemitism: Woke, Violent, and Lethal

Sound familiar?

Welcome to the new antisemitism. It doesn’t wear a swastika anymore. It wears a keffiyeh and calls itself “social justice.” But the venom is the same. If you support Israel, you’re a target. If you love the Jewish people, you’re the enemy. And if you speak truth, they’ll try to cancel you into silence.

But Enok didn’t shut up. He didn’t hide. He didn’t fold. He stood.

When I heard this story from a friend of mine, I asked to stop by his vintage shop in the center of Bergen, because I wanted to shake his hand and thank him for his courage. It sometimes cost a price to stand for the truth.

Standing Alone But Not Abandoned

There’s a verse in Isaiah that says, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness” (Isaiah 5:20). That’s what we’re living through right now. Enok saw it clearly. He told me, “I’ve gained a completely new view on lies, how dangerous they are, and how easily they spread. But in the same way that love wins over hate, I also believe that the truth will win over lies.”

He’s not Jewish. But he stood with the Jews.

There’s something utterly pathetic about the silence of so many people who say they care about justice, yet won’t say a word when Jews are slaughtered. People who post black squares or fly rainbow flags, but go deaf when Israeli children were burned alive, or worse, put up the same flag the terrorists carried when they invaded Israel - the flag of Palestine. But one Norwegian man stood up. A man who loves funky clothes and vintage boots had more backbone than most politicians in Europe.

The Price of Loyalty, And the Reward

And what happened? He was persecuted like a criminal. Shamed. Lied about. Punished. For one thing: standing with Israel.

Here’s the thing: Enok didn't stand for Israel because it was easy. He stood because it was right.

He told me he fell in love with Israel. The land. The people. The truth. It opened his eyes. He said he couldn’t keep quiet anymore. And you know what? He’s right. Silence is a sin when the truth is under attack.

We live in a world where lies are trending. But some people are still brave enough to tell the truth. Enok is one of them.

God Does Not Forget

I don’t know what’s going to happen to his business. I pray it will grow and he will succeed. But I know this: God doesn’t abandon those who take His side. And Enok is very much on the side of truth, of Israel, of righteousness.

Psalm 121 says, “He who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.” That same God sees Enok. He sees every broken window. Every lie. Every threat. And He will answer.

To anyone reading this — Christian, Jew, or somewhere in between, understand this moment. This is a spiritual battle between truth and deception, good and evil, courage and cowardice. You have to choose.

Enok chose. And he paid the price, but his reward will be much greater.

Will you stay silent while good men are punished for standing with Israel?

Or will you take a bold stand?

Because in the end, it’s not about the shop. It’s about the soul.

And I’ll tell you something, Enok may have lost customers, but he gained something bigger: the favor of Heaven. And that? That’s priceless.

I feel the same way and would do the same thing for truth in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The people who persecuted him need Jesus in their lives for his blood to wash them of their sins. I believe all truly born again Believers in Jesus would do the same thing.
