Cyrus Freed the Jews. Now Jews Stand for a Free Iran

What if history is about to flip on its head?

What if the people once freed by a Persian king now become the ones who help free the Persian people?

This isn’t a fairy tale. This isn’t politics-as-usual. This is biblical déjà vu in real time. In the 6th century BCE, a man named Cyrus, king of Persia, stunned the world. He overthrew Babylon and did something no one saw coming: he set the Jewish people free. He told them to go home. Rebuild their Temple. Worship their God. He gave them money, protection, and dignity. He was a gentile liberator chosen by the God of Israel. The Bible literally calls him “God’s anointed.”

Now the Jewish people—Israel, reborn in its homeland after 2,000 years—may be returning the favor.

Cyrus, Chosen by God

Isaiah 45 opens with a shocker:

“Thus says the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus… I will go before you and level the exalted places.”

Imagine that. A Persian king called God’s anointed. Not David. Not Solomon. Not even a Jew.

But God doesn’t play by our rules. He used Cyrus to shake the empires of his day. To take down tyranny and raise up freedom. When Cyrus issued his decree, Jews were released from the chains of Babylon and empowered to return to Zion.

Now the tables are turning again.

Israel's New Mission: Break the Mullahs' Chains

In June 2025, Israel did something bold. It launched a series of military strikes deep inside Iran—not against the Iranian people, but against the evil regime that oppresses them. Targets weren’t civilian. They were nuclear sites, IRGC bunkers, missile depots. Israel has had enough of threats. But more than that—it’s standing up for something higher.

Israeli Defense Minister Katz didn’t mince words. He called Iran’s Supreme Leader a “modern Hitler.” And Prime Minister Netanyahu went on national television and addressed the Iranian people directly—not as enemies, but as brothers and sisters under the boot of tyranny.

“Our fight,” he said, “is not with you".

Let that sink in. A Jewish state, born from Holocaust ashes, now united together with Iranians in Tehran against their a radical Islamist regime that seeks to destroy both of us.

Is that not divine irony?

Jews for a Free Iran

Here’s what’s happening: Israel is speaking directly to the Iranian people in Farsi. Social media channels run by the Israeli government are reaching millions behind the digital iron curtain. The message is clear: Israel isn’t bombing you. It’s fighting for you.

There are Iranians who want the Jewish state to finish what Cyrus started—only this time, not for the Jews, but for them.

This isn’t an invasion. Israel isn’t marching toward Tehran. This is something far more powerful: moral clarity. This is a spiritual stand. When bombs hit regime targets, they are hitting with precision and accuracy.

Will Israel Be the New Cyrus?

Cyrus didn’t convert. He didn’t become a Jew. But he bowed to the will of the God of Israel. He recognized the call of justice, and he acted on it.

That’s what made him righteous.

Israel today isn’t perfect. No nation is. But right now, it's channeling something ancient and righteous. It’s acting not just in self-defense, but in defiance of evil.

Some say it’s too dangerous. Some say Iran's regime is not going anywhere. Some say Israel should keep its head down.

But remember—Cyrus didn’t wait for a committee. He didn’t take a poll. He acted when it was time.

Maybe the same God who called Cyrus is now stirring up His people to liberate again. Not through empire, but through courage. Not to conquer, but to awaken.

A Word of Hope for Iranians

To the Iranian people: you are not forgotten. The God of Abraham sees you. The same God who moved a Persian king to free Jews is now using Jews to shake the ground under your tyrants.

Freedom might not come in a day. Cyrus didn’t fix everything overnight. But he started something. He cracked the gates.

And once a gate is cracked—it doesn’t stay closed forever.

We are praying for you. We are standing for you. And yes—we are fighting for you.

Because Cyrus freed the Jews. And now the Jews are standing to free Iran.
