Should Israel Continue the War in Gaza?

In a world flooded with opinions, protests, and social media activism, one thing remains painfully clear: most people criticizing Israel's actions have no idea what it’s like to live under constant threat. It’s easy to call for restraint from a comfortable distance, where rocket sirens and the reality of terror are just stories on a screen. But when evil knocks on your door, coexistence is not an option. You fight back.

Evil Cannot Be Negotiated With

The recent atrocities committed by Hamas have left no doubt: this is not a political dispute. This is evil. When terrorists storm homes, massacre families, kidnap children, and drag elderly women into tunnels, they’re not fighting for liberation or justice. They are driven by hatred, fueled by a desire to annihilate the Jewish state.

Let’s be blunt: there is no negotiating with evil. Hamas does not want peace. They don’t even pretend to. They are holding hostages—our sons—not as a step toward peace but as bargaining chips. The only time they release a hostage is when they are cornered, pressured, and see it as strategically beneficial. In their twisted worldview, human lives are nothing but pawns.

Anyone calling for a ceasefire should understand this: Hamas will not release the hostages out of the goodness of their hearts. They will not disarm or stop attacking if Israel pulls back. On the contrary, they will regroup, rearm, and strike again. Evil does not retreat voluntarily. It must be uprooted.

The Reality of Hostages

There’s a tragic pattern here, and it’s not unique to this conflict. Throughout history, terrorists have used hostages to manipulate and prolong conflicts. The cruel reality is that Israel has to fight even harder to bring the hostages home. History shows that appeasement only emboldens terrorists.

Look at how Hamas has treated the captives: forced videos, threats, and psychological torture. They have shown zero humanity. Yet somehow, Israel is still the one accused of being too harsh. Are we serious? Since when did defending oneself from genocidal maniacs become a crime?

History Speaks: The Fight Against Evil

When the United States fought Nazi Germany, the world understood the stakes. No one argued that Hitler’s regime should be tolerated or coexisted with. The goal was clear: total defeat, because Nazism itself was evil. There was no room for a middle ground. Similarly, the war against Hamas is not about occupying land or punishing a population. It’s about eradicating a violent, hateful ideology that threatens the very existence of Israel.

After Pearl Harbor, America didn’t pause to ask what it did to provoke Japan. It responded with unwavering force to protect its people and secure its future. Why should Israel be any different? The Jewish state has been repeatedly attacked, brutalized, and demonized, yet every time it defends itself, the world somehow forgets who the aggressor is.

For the Sake of Peace

Peace does not come from tolerating evil or appeasing terrorists. It comes from eliminating the threat so that ordinary people—both Israelis and Palestinians—can live without fear. Every ceasefire called for right now does not bring peace; it prolongs suffering. It gives Hamas time to regroup and plan the next massacre.

You cannot plant seeds of peace in soil soaked with terror. Peace requires courage, resilience, and a willingness to face evil head-on. Israel understands that. The rest of the world might not. But Israelis know what’s at stake: their lives, their families, their future.

Hope Through Strength

The Bible says, “When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers” (Proverbs 21:15). Israel must continue this fight because true peace can only be achieved when justice is served. Hamas does not want peace. They want Israel gone. Pretending otherwise is not just naïve—it’s dangerous.

To the international critics: your voices are loud, but your understanding is shallow. You don’t live under rocket fire. You don’t kiss your children goodnight not knowing if a siren will wake them up. You don’t understand that coexistence with Hamas is not just improbable—it’s impossible.

Israel will continue this war because it must. For the hostages. For the safety of its citizens. For the dream of real, lasting peace. There is no other way.
