5 Prayers to Speak Over Israel This New Year

As we cross into a new year, one thing is painfully clear: Israel is under fire. Not just from rockets or terrorists, but from politicians, media snakes, UN resolutions, and even so-called allies who can’t seem to decide whether they love or loathe the Jewish state. Antisemitism is the new mainstream. Israel stands surrounded, not just geographically, but spiritually.

But here’s the thing: Israel doesn’t stand alone.

If you're a believer in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, then standing with Israel isn’t optional. It’s a covenant. And this New Year, we don’t just need tweets or sympathy, we need prayer with fire.

Here are 5 bold prayers you should speak over Israel this year. Not weak prayers. Not pretty prayers. Prophetic, Biblical, warrior prayers.

1. “God, protect Israel’s borders, seen and unseen.”

The wars you see on TV are only half the story. There’s a spiritual war trying to erase Israel from existence. And it’s ancient. It started the day God chose a people.

Psalm 121:4 says, “Indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” That is not a suggestion, it’s a promise.

Pray that the IDF has supernatural clarity. Pray for divine technology, prophetic intelligence, and confusion in the enemy's camp. Pray for angels at the borders, north, south, east, and west. Pray for God's fire to burn around Jerusalem like a shield.

2. “God, expose and strike down every lying tongue.”

Enough with the lies. Israel is not an apartheid state. Israel is not a colonial power. And Israel is not the aggressor.

There’s a demonic propaganda machine, run by Hamas, Iran, universities, celebrities, and global elites, that pumps lies into the bloodstream of the world every single day. And people eat it up like candy.

Isaiah 54:17 says, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.”

Pray that God humiliates the liars. Pray for every blood libel, every slander, every UN lie, every false headline to be publicly destroyed. This is a war of words, and truth must roar louder than the serpent’s hiss.

3. “God, comfort the families of the murdered and bring home the remaining hostage.”

Since October 7th, Israel has been bleeding. Mothers saw their babies burned alive. Fathers were slaughtered in front of their kids. Women were raped. This is not some event in the past, it's something that changed our country forever.

Every grieving family matters. Don’t say “peace in the Middle East” if you don’t pray for the people actually bleeding.

Psalm 147:3 says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Pray that the broken hearts in Israel find real comfort. Not from politicians or empty slogans, but from the God of Zion Himself. And pray; no, command, that the remaining hostage Ran Gvili who was murdered and kidnapped by Hamas will return home for burial. And that every Hamas captor meets judgment.

4. “God, bless the leaders who stand with Israel, and tear down those who don’t.”

Leaders who curse Israel are already cursed. That includes presidents, pastors, influencers, and anyone else pretending neutrality is holiness. Genesis 12:3 didn’t change.

Pray that God raises up Daniels and Esthers in politics, media, and the military who will speak boldly, love truth, and refuse to bow to woke lies.

And pray that God removes every coward, every compromiser, and every two-faced leader who says “peace” while funding terror. God is not politically correct. Neither should our prayers be.

5. “God, awaken the nations.”

The world is asleep at the wheel, blind to evil, deaf to truth, and drunk on moral confusion. But God isn’t looking for applause. He’s looking for action.

It’s time for the nations to wake up. To stop funding terror, stop excusing Jew-hatred, and start standing with Israel, not just in words, but in deeds.

Joel 3:2 says, “I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel…”

Pray that the nations tremble before that judgment. Pray that leaders repent for betraying Israel. Pray that people in every country rise up with courage, clarity, and conviction to defend God’s people. Because when the nations bless Israel, they bless themselves. When they curse her, they sign their own death warrant.

This New Year, don’t pray safe prayers. Pray dangerous ones. Pray like your faith has teeth. Because it does.

Israel doesn’t need sympathy, she needs intercession. She doesn’t need pity, she needs power. She doesn’t need your silence, she needs your voice.
