Candace Owens vs. History: How She Twists the Past to Demonize Israel

Updated: 2 days ago

What do you call it when someone claims to fight for truth but spits out lies wrapped in the language of righteousness? When a so-called conservative uses her platform to push age-old antisemitic tropes, cloak them in pseudo-intellectualism, and disguise it all as concern for Christians? You call it deeply troubling. And today, you call it Candace Owens.

Candace Owens has gone from an internet provocateur to a full-blown revisionist of Jewish history, launching verbal missiles at the only democracy in the Middle East: Israel. She wraps her rants in Christian concern, throws around terms like "Holocaust" to describe Israel’s defensive actions, and claims that Israel is "holding America hostage." Her latest obsession? Rewriting history to paint Israel as the villain and the Jews as some sort of dark, manipulative force. It's not just offensive—it's satanic.

From Conservative Commentator to Antisemitic Megaphone

Let’s be real. Owens isn’t just wrong. She’s promoting ancient blood libels. Yes, those same vicious lies used to justify pogroms, ghettos, and the Holocaust. Owens resurrects them in digital form—implying that there are fake Jews who are “Satanists,” Israel is behind Christian deaths in Armenia, and even referencing the infamous Damascus Affair of 1840—an antisemitic conspiracy that has been thoroughly debunked for over a century.

Who else brought that one up? Oh yeah. Antisemites from the 1800s.

Instagram Theology and Historical Amnesia

Candace claims that social media “opened her eyes.” Great. Because Big Tech Giants are obviously the best source for understanding thousands of years of Jewish history. Forget the Bible. Forget archaeology. Forget documented persecution of Jews in over 100 countries.

Here’s a truth bomb for Candace and anyone nodding along: the land of Israel wasn’t born in 1948. It was reborn. Long before the UN existed, there were Jewish kings in Jerusalem. King David ruled from Zion. Solomon built the First Temple. This isn’t Zionist propaganda—it’s the Bible.

Jesus Was a Jew. Get Over It.

Jesus was a Jew. His disciples were Jews. The entire New Testament hinges on the existence of Israel and the Jewish people. Without them, Christianity doesn’t exist. Period.

And while Candace weeps for persecuted Christians—guess what country actually protects them? Israel. In Egypt, churches are bombed. In Iran, Christians are arrested. In China, underground churches live in constant fear. In Gaza, Christians are driven out by Hamas. But in Israel? They worship freely. In Nazareth. In Jerusalem. In Bethlehem—well, actually, Bethlehem has declined because the Palestinian Authority and Hamas have chased Christians out. For the record, I don't wish to say that Owens doesn't care about Christians because she does seem to bring this up a lot, but in my opinion, she has very little Biblical knowledge, because the very Bible she claims to defend, is originated here in Israel.

Between 2013 and 2017, Israel treated over 4,000 wounded Syrians in its hospitals—many of them Christian refugees escaping Islamist terror. Israeli NGOs risked their lives helping Yazidi Christians survive ISIS. Did Owens report that? I did not see any report on this.

Holocaust Comparisons: Evil and Ignorant

Let’s address her Holocaust comparison. Owens called Israel’s response to October 7 “a Holocaust.” Let that sink in. She’s comparing a war against Hamas—a terrorist group that raped, beheaded, and kidnapped civilians—to the Nazi extermination of six million Jews.

That is not just tone-deaf. It is evil.

The Holocaust was genocide. It was about exterminating an entire people for existing. Hamas wants to do that to Jews. Israel isn’t exterminating Palestinians—it’s defending itself from a group that openly calls for Jewish genocide.

The Bible says: “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you” (Genesis 12:3). According to this Bible verse, Candace Owens is walking on cursed ground. Her words may be popular with antisemites and social media mobs, but they spit in the face of Scripture. She cannot claim to stand with the God of Abraham while slandering the children of Abraham.

Israel Isn’t the Problem. It’s the Proof.

Truth still matters. History still matters. And Israel is still the truth. It’s still the homeland of the Jewish people. It’s still the only country in the Middle East where Christians thrive. It still sends aid around the world. It still builds hospitals instead of terror tunnels. It still fights with a moral code unmatched in warfare.

So to Candace Owens and her fans: Stop pretending that slandering Jews is courageous. It’s cowardice dressed up in concern. You want to stand with the persecuted? Stand with the truth. Stand with Israel.

Here’s the good news. You don’t have to buy the lies. You don’t have to be quiet while truth is dragged through the mud. Be loud. Be bold. Be biblical. Because God made a covenant with Israel—and He hasn’t broken it.

Israel is not the problem. Israel is the proof—proof that God keeps His promises. And no matter how loud the hate gets, the truth will always stand.
