Why Every Western Nation Should Be Thanking Israel, Yours Too

Israel is one of the only countries in the world that can be under attack at breakfast and still save lives in Europe by lunch.

While most of the world knows Israel for the wars, the protests, or the political debates, there’s another side that doesn’t make headlines. It’s quiet. It’s constant. And it’s life-saving.

Israel protects more people outside its borders than some countries do inside theirs. And Western nations should stop pretending they got here alone.

They got here with help from Israel.

Israel Is On The Front Line, So You Don’t Have To Be

Israel has been fighting Islamic terror since the day it was born. Long before the West woke up on 9/11, Israel was already an expert. Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Al Qaeda, ISIS, and Iran all want to destroy Israel. The Jewish state has faced rockets, tunnels, suicide bombers, and cyberattacks for decades.

In 2017, Israeli intelligence broke up a major ISIS plot in Australia. Terrorists had built a working bomb and planned to bring it onto a passenger plane. It was Israel that caught it. It was Israel that passed the intelligence to Australian officials. And it was Israel that kept 400 people alive that day. Most of them weren’t Jewish. None of them were Israeli.

This isn’t a one-time story. This is how Israel operates.

If you’ve ever seen a security checkpoint in a Western airport, there’s a good chance Israeli methods inspired it.

Western countries now train their airport security teams with these same tools.

Police departments across the United States and Europe work with Israeli experts to learn how to handle riots, active shooters, hostage situations, and bomb threats. These are methods Israel created after living through it, again and again.

Israeli units like YAMAM, the elite counter-terror squad, have trained teams from the FBI, SWAT, and special forces around the world. Some of the best anti-terror operations today use skills that were developed by Israelis in real-time under real fire.

Israeli Intelligence Saves Lives Quietly

The Mossad, Israel’s foreign intelligence agency, is not just working to protect Israeli citizens. Much of its work helps people who have no idea they were ever in danger. Israeli intelligence has stopped terror plots in European cities. They have tracked smuggled weapons across the Middle East. They have exposed secret terror plans and terror finance operations that were targeting Western nations.

And they don’t just keep that to themselves. Israel shares it. Often without credit.

Western agencies know this. They’ve seen the data, they’ve used the leads, and they’ve watched the results. Israel is one of the few allies that doesn’t wait for permission. If they know someone’s planning to kill civilians in Paris or Berlin, they act.

In June 2018, Mossad uncovered a terrifying Iranian-backed plot to attack an annual rally hosted by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in Villepinte, near Paris. This was a gathering of Iranian dissidents that Israel helped protect, even though the attendees likely had no idea they were targets. The operation involved coordinated efforts with French, German, and Belgian authorities, leading to the arrest of suspects, including an Austrian-based Iranian diplomat, and the seizure of explosives like TATP from vehicles linked to the plot.

Israel Doesn’t Just Fight. It Builds Tools That Defend the Free World

Some of the most advanced cyber defense systems in the world were created in Israel. Not in Silicon Valley. Not in Brussels. In Tel Aviv.

Israel defends its banks, military, hospitals, and utilities from daily cyberattacks, especially from Iran and other hostile powers. But instead of just using those systems for itself, it sells them to allies or gives them as support.

Today, Israeli cybersecurity protects American companies, British government systems, and European power grids. Every time a hacker fails to bring down your bank or turn off the lights in your city, you might have Israeli software to thank.

Even Israel’s Iron Dome, which stops rockets from hitting Israeli cities, has inspired new defense projects in other countries. The US has invested in joint systems with Israel to protect its troops and allies abroad. It’s not charity. It’s a smart strategy.

God Still Keeps His Word

In Genesis 12:3, God says to Abraham: “I will bless those who bless you.”

This isn’t just ancient history. It’s still happening.

Nations that work with Israel are stronger. They possess better tools, faster intelligence, stronger defenses, and greater wisdom. This is not because Israel is perfect. It’s because God keeps His promises.

Israel has been a blessing to the world in medicine, agriculture, tech, and defense. However, its work in counter-terrorism and intelligence is perhaps the most valuable of all.

You can’t measure the number of attacks that didn’t happen because someone in Israel stopped them. But you can know that they did.

Israel doesn’t ask for a standing ovation. It doesn’t demand headlines or applause. It asks for honesty.

Western nations owe Israel more than they say. They benefit from Israeli courage, sacrifice, and knowledge almost every day.

If you're safer, it might be because someone in Israel paid attention. Someone stayed awake all night. Someone passed along a name, a number, or a warning that saved lives.

So if you're thankful for safety, security, and the peace to live freely, then thank Israel too.
